Together Everyone Achieves More

Real People. Real Passion. Real Results.

For more than a decade, our founder and CEO, Mr. Winston Anderson Sr., has been mentoring and running affordable basketball programs within Toronto’s vulnerable communities.

Having helped many organizations, Winston felt it was time to help the youth in the North Etobicoke community and SHIELD Association was born. SHIELD is an acronym for Sport Helping Individuals to Elevate Lead, and Dream and that’s the vision; to effect change where he lives, leads, and connects.

Athletics have been a big part of Davide’s life. He excelled at soccer, track & field, and Ultimate Frisbee. Davide understood early in his athletic career that the top athletes possessed three primary attributes: they are willing to put in the effort, they are coachable, and they are hungry for success.

As a personal trainer for more than two decades, Davide understands and teaches that longevity in sports depends on keeping the body well-tuned through proper diet, exercise techniques, and rest.

Anton is a lifelong athlete and student. He started at the age of six in karate and never stopped with sports. The discipline and commitment learned there are carried through to every sport he picks up. Anton teaches that physicality is only one part of being an athlete and that you need to tend to the mind to take full advantage of your talents.

Anton incorporates a multitude of athletic skills like spatial awareness, predictive capacity, creativity, and passion to drive and expand each player’s abilities and growth.
